Mystic was eyeing your back trail, Stalk, but you were just too fast! Well played... :3

Clear of the obstacle, Mystic of the Soothing Sands flips the last splinter off his sinuous tail and (as long as he was slower through that mess anyway) takes a small moment to steam the worst of the water out of his mane.

It looks like a mad dash for the finish, so he hits that trail HARD.

Mystic of the Soothing Sun eyes up the logs, deciding they just don't look built for a Sam of his particular body type. Slowing down to an easy pace, Mystic hopes he doesn't loose too much ground...

With a happy whoop, Mystic of the Soothing Sands clears the sinkhole and looks about at his new place among the racers. Clearly, he needed to hit the trail even harder! A good burst of speed now could do amazing things if the gamble paid off...

Mystic of the Soothing Sands lashes angrily at the obstacle. He'd been so sure he'd get through unscathed... Nothing for it now, he'd have to risk continuing his normal pace if he'll have a hope of gaining ground.

Head up, Mystic of the Soothing Sands spies his fellow racers getting caught up in vines and snakes. More than half snakish himself, Mystic slows just slightly to a normal pace to launch through it.

Mystic looks around himself in bafflement, he was so sure there would be a sinkhole! With a spurt of determination, he runs hard down the trail!

Mystic of the Soothing Sun slither-hop-runs in his own unique gait at an acceptable rate. Feeling the uncertain terrain beneath him, he begins to worry that there might be a trap looming, so he slows to an easy pace.

Mystic of the Soothing Sun steps out into the spotty sunlight of the swampy terrain. Glancing around at the other racers, he resolves to set a moderate, normal pace to begin with.
