Anyone else here have any concerts, performances, shows, etc. that they're really looking forward to this summer?
As an "early" Mother's and Father's Day present, I got tickets for the three of us to go and see Yes & Peter Frampton in Baltimore in June. Very excited to see Yes. It's one of my favorite bands and Dad used to go see some of their old shows in decades past. We all love them. I think Mom saw one back in the day as well, but just one.
However. We're all UTTERLY PSYCHED at the Rush concert tickets we just got thirty minutes ago! I was stalking ticketmaster.com for hours, waiting and waiting and waiting until 10AM so that we could snatch up the best seats we could for a price that didn't kill us. We got good ones. And it's going to be so awesome. My fourth Rush concert, since I saw Vapor Trails once and Snakes & Arrows twice. Or was it the other way around? Can't remember. But Mom and Dad have seen dozens of their concerts and we're all such huge fans. I'm so excited it hurts. And we have to wait until September! But it's totally worth it...
Gotta love those Canadians! <3

Re: Summer Concerts!
Sounds like fun Enjoy your concerts!
Since we're going to (HOPEFULLY) be moving back to Vancouver, I'm hoping we'll be able to catch a couple of annual events that I missed last year - Bard on the Beach and the Celebration of Light! Bard on the Beach is a Shakespeare festival that takes place on the beach with several plays to choose from, and they always have the most gorgeous sets and costumes. Not to mention I enjoy Shakespeare XD
The Celebration of Light (which might be canceled this year, eek) is an international fireworks competition. Three countries compete, putting on a fireworks display set to music. You can see the fireworks from several places in the city, and they broadcast the music on a local radio station. I hope it's not canceled, I missed it last year ;_;
EDIT: Oh yeah, and Mr Sushi and I are getting married in June XD That's an event I'm really looking forward to!

Re: Summer Concerts!
We haven't got much on our plate this year, but we're finalizing plans to travel across the state at the end of May to visit with a couple of our WoW friends. One of them I met for the first time a few weeks ago, the other I haven't met before. It will be part of a big guild gathering, but since most of that is happening in Canada, we'll have to miss it as we don't have passports. Still, all of us have kids that are about the same age, so we're taking them to the zoo, either in Detroit or Toledo. It should be a lot of fun!
Re: Summer Concerts!
I haven't been to a concert in ages. You are so lucky to be going to see Yes and then going to see Rush. Not much of a Peter Frampton fan. I find that I'm not enjoying the Philly concert scene as much as I enjoyed going to concerts up in Boston. I really do have to keep my eyes open for who is going to be touring this summer and try to get to a concert.
Hope both concerts are awesome (I'm sure they will be!).
