A little late, but here's October's events Thank you again for your great suggestions!

6th - Custom draw!
Although it started a little late, this month's free draw is for customs! It's running in the events forum.

18th - Frankensam!
Grrrr, argh, braaaaaaains. ...oh wait, that's zombies, not Frankensams. There'll be three Frankensams running this day - one sanity-paced on both forums, one insanity-paced on the Samanayr forums, and one live on Ustream! Exact times will be posted closer to the date.

22nd - Races!
Spooky Halloween-themed races will be taking place, whoooo. The races will be run by silvermoondragon! Registration opens on the 20th and the races themselves will be run on the 22nd.

24th - Costume contest!
Get ready to dress up your Samanayrs for trick-or-treating fun! The randomly-drawn winners will have their costumes made into actual accessories for their Samanayrs, and there will be additional category-based prizes, such as Most Creative.

Paid customs may be opening this month, time permitting.

The official registration date for this month's races is October 20, and the races themselves will be run on October 22. There's going to be some cool prizes available - keep an eye on the forum on the 20th to register your Sams!

The races are going to be really fun! They're going to be Halloween themed and have some special surprises *sneaks around mysteriously and laughs evilly, MUAHAHAHAHA*

Races are fun! I'm hoping I can get someone signed up for a race again this time!

Here's a link to the thread for the last set of races. Basically whoever runs the race is rolling a die to see how far each racer advances and if they can make it through each obstacle. Traits have an effect on how well a Sam does...but we don't know what it is.

And yay for Frankens this weekend!

For the races, I should also mention that if you're a non-owner you can use someone else's Samanayr to race! The only downside is that the Samanayr-specific item will go to the Samanayr and their owner, but if the Sam you're using wins you'll still win all of the modiems!

The prizes are also going to be a little different from last time And a lot of fun!

Oh yes! I give anyone permission to use any of my Samanayrs that do not already have medals (Zephyr and Dance) for the races. All I ask is that, if you receive a medal, you allow them to equip it. Any other prizes would of course be yours. <3

I posted this on PI since someone asked the question there but I guess I should post it here:

I was planning on opening up the registration around 2:00 EST tomorrow(the 20th), depending on when I get home from school, which would be 11:00 PST. The races themselves will probably be run around the same time on the 22nd.

And those of you who want to volunteer their Samanayrs just let me know and I'll add them into the registration post tomorrow.

I am sooo excited about the races! As the only wingless member of Song of the Mysterious Winds, Bold feels that she's got something to prove and intends to do so in the ground races (without Tyra's help).
