Well, I went back and edited my form already (and it's a good thing I bothered peeking back in here, because I'm often lax on following up on contests I've entered and easily could've come back weeks later and missed the edit), but... can I ask why no "modern" terms are being allowed? I mean, I figured, Mad Libs are meant to be silly, and what could be sillier than a Samanayr on top of the Eiffel Tower, or doing something with a paperclip or a Frisbee? Mad Libs have never really been the height of accurate depictions, in my experience. ;P

Hah it's true enough that Mad Libs are designed to be random and humorous. However, in the case of these Sam Mad Libs I'm running, they're more than just random entertainment. In much the way that the previous Mad Lib ended up creating an actual Samanyr, something similar will be happening with these games. Since there will be a character created by this, who will exist in this fictional world that Sushi created and we're all kind of sharing... he needs to be able to "fit in" to some degree. I'm trying to preserve the integrity of this world, including things like baseballs or televisions seem out of place in this fantasy world.

That being said, I know there are Sams who do blur the boundaries between "real world" and "Sams world", marvelous wonderful creatures and I'm not in any way trying to imply that that is "bad" or "wrong" to do! But with the Mad Lib game, I'd rather just keep things simple ^_^

I hope that clears up my motivations a little bit If I've only confused the issue more, let me know and I'll try again!
