I'm eager to get the first few multi-stage foals out there, and the first few will be given away in a draw Just design a foal, send me your entry, and cross your fingers!

Rules and info

- There is a limit of one entry per person.
- The design is for the foal stage only. We don't know how it'll look all grown up yet!
- The max rarity for species is 'uncommon' and the max rarity for traits is 'rare.'
- There is a limit of three visible traits per foal, not including species-required traits (eg a Lamanayr could have three traits in addition to pure black eyes, head mane, tufted tail, and wings).
- Traits should be ones that will appear on the foal. Remember that not all traits can be shown on the foal stage. Things that can't change over time (eg foot type, tail type) will be shown on the foal stage while things that can change (eg horns, wings, hair and fur, elemental traits) won't be shown.
- The colors and markings shown on the foal will change somewhat as it grows. The colors it displays now will be present and probably dominant when it's an adult. Only large markings (eg socks, paint) appear on foals, and hair is usually just one color. Eye color does not change.
- Your entry can be written, drawn, or a combination of both.

There will be two randomly-chosen winners, and I'll pick a third winner based on the design!

I'm afraid I'm a bit unsure what traits are and are not appropriate to submit for foal stage- wings in particular are something you mention above and yet your example has feathered wings in it's foal stage. Is it just that we shouldn't expect traits like wings, horns and hair to stay constant from stage to stage, or should we genuinely not submit a form with those traits listed for a foal? *confuzzled*

Yeah, I was also a teeny bit confused on the traits as well. D:

I'm as confused as amazon and Esperanza about traits. Would wyvern be a trait seen on the foal or count as wings and not appear until later? What about something like scaled skin, beak or multiple legs/tails?

EDIT: And just for reference what rarity would Wyvern Combination Wings (Draconic x Butterfly) be? Like the wings Grandeur of Ancient Ruins has.

I chose traits I assumed would be prominent on a foal. O.o;; I chose combination wings, feather and butterfly, cheek feathers and bobtail....I hope I chose right. o.o?

and I get the idea that other traits can come out as it grows. Like head wings, or leg wings? ....Im just going to run with it. lol O___<

Somehow, I read it as 'uncommon to max rare traits' rather than 'species max uncommon rarity and max Rare traits'... And sent in with Aquatic as the species.

Also by basic personality do you mean a few descriptive words or something more like a short paragraph?

Ugh I should have made that clearer, sorry XD; Unfortunately I'm not very consistent about which traits appear on foals, and with the growing Sams traits can change or appear at a later stage. Like in the example the foal starts off with feathered wings, but they end up developing into combo wings. If you submit a trait in your entry it will be shown on the foal stage.

@Echos - Wyvern is something that can appear on a foal stage but could also develop later. And I'd consider that trait combo rare.

The length of the personality bit is up to you, I was thinking just a few words or sentences though XD

Phew, finally the results of the foal draw

Pristine and Bluestarwolf12 were the winners of the random draw, both with little Northern foals Congrats!



I also ended up picking two additional winners Congrats to Origami_Dragon and Britain!

Oooh, whee! *squishes baby Mystic* My flighty little flightless Mystic is going to be such fun to develop as she goes in search of the next horizon! Now...to figure out which Sam or Song shall serve as foster parents for her... *peers at the little wyvern and ponders which type Sushi chose to start it as* Such tiny little detail.

Also, I am amused by the pairings here. Two northerns from random draw. And then a Mystic and a Sa'krien side by side from Sushi choice.

Congrats everyone! Blue's colt looks so playful and...rroawr-y. All ready to pounce. And Pristine's little girl looks so self-conscious about those giant ears that are almost bigger than she is poor thing. Britain's Sa'krien certainly looks confident and challenging though. Can't wait to see how their personalities come out and develop!
