PC/PS3/Xbox 360. I got it for Xbox and my brother got it for PC - I just like console gaming and my PC isn't specced for current gaming requirements like his is.
Just came out today. I grabbed the first copy out of the box at Target. xD It's the fifth in the Elder Scrolls series and will have MUCH DRAGON-HUNTING, among a billion other things. The writing and world-building for these games is always spectacularly wonderful.

I'm ashamed to admit I have never played any of the Elder Scrolls series >_>; Worth it? Do I need to start with a previous one or could I start with the current one (well, the previous one, since I don't think my computer would run Skyrim and we don't have a 360 or PS3)?

Sushi, you don't need to start with any of the previous ones to grasp a current game. You just get more familiar with the world with each subsequent game and it's fun to squee over references and world data that you already know, etc. Each game is very much self-contained.
I'd highly recommend Oblivion (the fourth of the series). My brother and I had years of fun out of that game. There are a few entertaining or lulzy things and the graphics aren't as mind-bendingly spectacular as Skyrim, which is to be predicted, but they're still pretty darn good. And it's just... fun!
I got to play for like two hours last night. In every game, you start out as a prisoner. This oen just starts off VERY DRAMATICALLY OMG!

Hubby is playing Oblivion right now, and he loves it. He wants Skyrim very muchly, but is trying to wait until the Game of the Year edition comes out, because he says it'll only be a year, then it will be cheaper, plus include any expansions they come out with. He has that edition of Oblivion.
I don't think he'll make it a whole year. Especially since I'm planning to get it for him for Christmas if he makes it that long. XD

Re: SKYRIM SKYRIM SKYRIM SKYRIM SKYRIM!
If anyone's interested in the earlier Elder Scrolls games Morrowind and Oblivion are both on sale on Steam this weekend I picked up Oblivion, can't wait to play!
Re: SKYRIM SKYRIM SKYRIM SKYRIM SKYRIM!
I might have to pick up one of those games if I can; we have Skyrim on Xbox but when Thomas is home, he plays XD It'd be nice to be able to keep playing SOME sort of game while I can't play Skyrim.
Re: SKYRIM SKYRIM SKYRIM SKYRIM SKYRIM!
I have already logged far too many hours in this game. XD So much running around picking up EVERYTHING (omg, horses and mercenary make my super-in-game-kleptomania-hoarding so much easier!) while waiting for the many things to come in and out of the oven during the holidays.
So torn over who to join, faction-wise! Everytime I think I'm finally all decided, they throw another emotional story-bomb on the fire! Rawrgh!
