Holiday "Bound" - A Track and Field Celebration?

In Australia, Christmas comes in the middle of a very hot summer. So, when Santa Claus delivers his presents he's not taken around by reindeer because, well, they can't stand the terrible heat! It sounds like this little sheila after me was thinkin' about the same thing, too!

Bound seems to think he's strong enough to pull Santa's sleigh across the great, hot Outback in the event one of the six white Boomers couldn't make it... It would take a pretty strong set of legs to impress him, I think-- not to mention the heart to put in long hours in the heat at blazing speed! He's looking for a few fellow Samanayrs to have a bit of a long jump competition with him and see just who would make the cut! And- wait, what's this? There seems to be a little mare stepping out to speak with us, too!

Glimpse is suggesting a second competition, a high jump competition. I guess... because flying without wings must involve very high leaps? Or something?

This event is part ability and part random, similar to the caber toss event a while ago. There are two categories; Bound's Long Jump and Glimpse's High Jump which will operate slightly differently from each other. Both will require a combination of strength and agility to win! Samanayrs that enter either competition will have to be physically able to compete on land - unfortunately, this means no aquatics or northern aquatics. Samanayrs with wings are allowed to enter, however in the interest of fairness their wings will be tied down to level the playing field.

The Long Jump

Each Samanayr entered into the Long Jump competition will be asked to make a series of three leaps from the starting line. The length of those three leaps will be added together for the total length. They will repeat the process again and the longer of their two sets will be used for scoring. The Samanayr who can bound the farthest wins!

There will be ten (10) slots in the Long Jump competition.

The High Jump

Each Samanayr entered into the High Jump competition will be asked to make an ever-more difficult series of jumps. For the first jump the bar will be set at a height that nearly any Samanayr could make, but in each round the bar will be set higher and higher, eliminating Samanayrs that don't make the jump, until there is only one winner!

There will also be ten (10) slots in the High Jump competition.

Rules!

- There is a limit of one entry per person--you'll have to pick which event you want to try!
- The Samanayr you enter must be one that you own, unless you borrow one from someone else.
- Similar to races, you do not have to be present to win! (Although I will post the results of each round for those that are interested!)

Applications are now OPEN. The apply for a spot, send a PM to my account, oakleafwolf, either on the forum or PI (pm’s sent to Sushidragon may get missed or you miss getting the spot you want), with the subject as "Holiday Bound!" and the following form filled out:

It's a guest artist custom token! It functions just like a normal samanayr custom token, only this one is specific to me so the PM goes to this account, oakleafwolf, and the resulting Sam will be done with lines and color from me. :3
