This month's race is a flying course set right at the sun's setting. Who knows what sort of obstacles could await our racers as the sun sets and the light begins to fade?
This will also be the last race for a few months until the Samanayr hiatus is over.

This is a flying course timed right as the sun sets! Because this is a flying course, participants must be able to fly.

There are 10 spots open for this race.


Racing applications are now OPEN. The apply for a race spot, send a PM to my account, silvermoondragon, either on the forum or PI(pm’s sent to Sushidragon may get missed or you miss getting the spot you want), with the subject as Sunset Skies and the following form filled out:

Oh yes, same here, anyone (especially sam-less people) can ask about using Wanderer, Mask, Cider, Retreat (<3), or Dusk (all of them are wingers, so just shoot me a message to ask, I'm sure there won't be a problem there XD)

The racers all line up at the starting line as the light begins to fade, the sun streaking bright colours along the horizon.

And they're off! A quick start for most of our racers, but who knows where the first obstacle might be.

PS - in case anyone wonders, the background gradient is just for interest, it doesn't have anything to do with the obstacles, it just fit the theme.

And with this round, our fastest come across our first obstacle, a colony of bats, setting out on their nighttime adventures. With the bat's fast darting flight and the light darkening every second, they could prove to be quite a problem for some of the racers.

The racers continue their furious flights to the finish. But where's the next obstacle?

As the race heads down into a darkened mountain valley, now in shadows, the racers must dodge the many tall trees growing there.

Flap, flap, flap, go the racers as they wing their way through the course.

As our leaders round a corner, they are blinded by a giant bonfire with a group of merry Samanayrs dancing around it. The end is not to far now!

As the finish comes into sight, a group of Samanayrs put on a burst of speed, it looks like we'll be having a photo finish here!

Wow what a finish! With the closeness and darkness at the end of this race it would certainly be one talked about for many moons to come. First to cross the line was Slumber, only just a hairsbreadth before Sibyl, who was almost neck and neck with Jewel, with Purgatory and Mystic not far behind.

Nighthenge and Janalee, please let me know what modiems you would like to receive. For the random ones, Nighthenge receives a pattern modiem and Puuka receives a colour modiem.

Since the equip board is closed for the hiatus, you will have to wait until the hiatus is over to equip your medals, but they will still be added to your inventory so you won't forget them.
