Maybe these will be dumb, but as i work on Wreath's Song, i'm running into some new concerns. xD;

First of all, if a Sam has a cert, according to the Rules page it doesn't have to be on a webpage. If you have a site for your Song, how do you link to the Sam? *this doesn't actually apply to any of Wreath's mares, but i was wondering*

Secondly, is e-mail still the preferred choice of contacting Sam owners, or should i simply link to the 'PM owner' url? If so, wot if the owner is only on PI? Should it be according to the owner's preference, but, again, wot if they want to be contacted on PI, yet the contacter doesn't have an account? lol

Maybe i'm making mountains out of molehills, but i just wanted to make sure that all of my Songs-- and any new ones-- still fit well into the conventions used here. ^^ Thankies!

As to contacts, I'm not sure. I've actually deleted the emails of owners from some of my Songs out of concern for bots hunting up emails for spam... but there has to be a better way.

Linking though, if they don't have an official page, I link to the image-with-cert of the Sam on Sushi's photobucket. ^_^

Jennalyn's got it right for linking to certed Sams XD Additionally, if there's a mare in your Song that doesn't have a cert and their webpage is gone, you could link to their search result in the database (eg http://sushi-dragon.com/sotr/displaySea ... s=&Traits=)

As for contact options, that's entirely up to you. I believe that most of the active Samanayr owners also have an account on this forum, so they could be contacted via PM that way. If you'd still like to include your email I'd encourage garbling it up so that spambots can't grab it.

Sometimes if you just replace the @ with an 'at' then it is easy for someone to fix up when sending the mail (especially if you make a note of it on the page). A lot of of people like me don't have PI accounts, so I would have no way of contacting something through a PM. Unless there is someone here who would volunteer to be a go-between for something like that?

Getting people to register here for PM-form communication may not be so bad though, as one doesn't have to pay to do so *g*

*eyes her accounts* I might even be able to arrange for one of them to be available for members of this community to use to contact members on PI. I'll have to think out the logistics of it though XD

I have also volunteered to be a go-between, but I think I mentioned it in the Ustream one night, and forgot to post it where people could actually find it later XD
