Hi everyone! Just wanted to let you know that we have a new coder working on the site, with some exciting changes on the way I’ll let them introduce themselves and take it from here!

Summer Storm has been hard at work on a bit of a visual update for a long, long time, but it's finally paid off!

She's totally celebrating here, really. Confetti is being tossed around with merry abandon! In spirit!

Although if you find something that doesn't look quite right, she might be willing to step away from her long awaited mug of victory cocoa. Maybe. If you ask really nicely. And toss some confetti... <.<

The site looks amazing!! I just did some quick exploring and I'm amazed at how gorgeous everything is! I searched for my Sams and when they came up I literally said Ooo Pretty XD.
Lol! I hope I don't sound too silly. It's late and I am very tired. I just got home from a play (Shrek the Musical) and I just was checking to see if there was anything new posted. The website looks fantastic! *throws confetti!*

I'm loving the new site layout! It looks awesome!! Great work you guys!

I can take no credit for the updates, it was all Ry- I mean, Summer Storm! ;D

Now that the site is live we're in the process of tweaking things, so stuff may change or break throughout the day. Eventually I'll have a new banner to go across the top of the pages, so enjoy the old top-of-the-page Sams for now! XD

Omg, I'm sooooo delighted to see the updated site! The database looks spiff as heck. *__* The rounded table style is just gorgeous. Coding I could manage, but graphical prettiness? Nope. That squees me so hard.

Question! Is there still a way to see extended lineage trees, or are those not a thing with the upgrade? I just wasn't seeing a link.

@Jenn - I have to thank you again for doing the coding in the first place, we wouldn't be here if it wasn't for you!

Oops, it looks like there's a bit of a bug with getting the link to the extended lineage trees! I'll alert our coder. In the meantime you can just add 'Extended' to the standard lineage URL if you want to see the big one!

@Operetta - Bite was such a champ about posing for me too! ...Although I get the feeling he thought we were having a staring contest where the loser gets to be petted. I believe I lost. <.< ow

@tierasa/Sushi - She has her ways! And I hear that banging on keyboards can be surprisingly effective sometimes?

And we're so glad you all like the new look! It was totally worth it. Especially for me, as I just had to poke Summer Storm here and there.

In unrelated news, poking sticks may have survival issues around my adorable little Mystic. I'm not sure why, but she's really quite gleeful and smug about it too...

Oh its all nice and shinny! I really like the layout and how everything is displayed!

Thought I think I may have found a little problem, thought I am not sure if this is coding for the site or for the database.

When I log into the database the "Display Your Sams" page says "If any information is incorrect, you can click the pencil icon to edit their record." However there don't seem to be a pencil icon or any other way to edit information.

Just wanted to point this out.

Oops, looks like the edit function is a little bit broken at the moment! I'll let Rythe (and Summer Storm) know and hopefully it'll be fixed later today

If you log into the Samanayr Database and click 'Display Your Sams', ElvenArcher, the pencil icon should be to the right of each Samanayr's name?

Nope, no pencils for me either

It's not there. (Took a screenshot so you can see too) :/ I've tried refreshing, logging out and back in again, I also tried logging in on the computer instead of my phone and it won't show up.
Not sure what's up. It isn't a big issue really I just added a new Sam to my list and I forgot something. Haha
