So...any other procrastinators still looking to form a non-random team? XD I would really love to use Nebulae, though I may have to give up on using a magical species...I do think she'd be pretty fast though! *grins*

@Esperanza - the team name is mostly just for fun and building team spirit, you are welcome to leave it blank and I'll give the team a name like random 1 or something that comes to mind.

I am still looking for a team! I have sams available for all spots.

As an update, we've got 5 teams so far and 4 random applicants. We've got no random swimmers yet so try to take that into consideration when you apply. Also, if you've submitted an application for a random team, and you find yourself a team member, feel free to resubmit your application.

On 7:30pm PST, Nov 20th when applications close, I will try to post the teams as soon as possible so you know what's up. If the random teams don't balance out nicely, you will be welcome to switch up Samanayrs, or I may add in some of my own Samanayrs if necessary to fill in any gaps. We'll see how it goes.

Someone is welcome to use my girl if they need a swimmer. If that's allowed of course.

So, I have to go a little earlier than I had originally thought, so I'm going to extend the applications until tomorrow morning, Nov 21, 8:30am PST We still need one more random aquatic!

Ok, the racers are now posted. We had 9 teams and our random teams actually worked out very nicely in the end. If you are on one of the random teams and would like to add a team name for fun(instead of random1/random2) just let me know and I'll update it.

As the race gets set up, a selection of Samanayrs stand(or float) at their starting position, stretching and readying themselves for their signal to go. Our first team members, for the ground portion of the triathlon, stand at the top of the desert crater ready to make their way down to the oasis at the bottom where their aquatic partner waits.

As the starting bell sounds, the racers begin navigating their way down the crater, some of the racers coming across our first obstacle, a patch of rough crumbling ground, very easy to loose your footing.

This round brings our first racer to the oasis at the bottom of the crater to trade off with their aquatic partner.

Woo! Go team Twilight Flame Stalkers! ^^

This round sees a few more racers trading off for the second section.

Some of our aquatic racers now come across their obstacle, a patch of dried up oasis they must pass over.

A few of our racers are now passing the race on to the third and final section of the triathlon. Our flighted racers must now fly back to the top of the opposite side of the crater.

Our final obstacle shows it's face this round, strong gusts of turbulent winds blowing down the sides of the crater.

And our first team has crossed the finish, congratulations to the Midnight Runners! Now the question remains, which teams will claim second and third?

*jaw drops*

And with a strange turn of events(low rolls...) the question of second and third place remains. Our next round promises to be full of suspense as we wait to find out the winners.

A wave of racers cross the finish this round, with more not very far behind. It was a very close finish for three teams but The Underdogs managed to squeeze ahead of the other two claiming second place, with Team Nameless squeaking in behind to claim third.
