White Elephant 2015

The stillness of winter is shattered by cheerful voices as samanyr kin from near and far gather in the familiar clearing to await the friendly chaos which will soon ensue. The imposing figure of Warden of the Desolate Tundra stands guard over the gaily wrapped packages, glowering at all who would tamper with them.
It's time for the fourth annual samanayr White Elephant game! A huge thanks to SilverDapples for running last year's game while I was MIA. And thanks to Sushi and our Guest Artists for providing prizes 
White Elephants are a popular party game, but of course we’re doing things a little differently on the forums. Sign-ups are open from now until Saturday December 19 at 10:00 PM Pacific. Twelve players will be randomly selected from all the submitted forms. The game will start Sunday December 20th at 2:00 PM Pacific. Based on previous years, the game will likely run about two and a half to three hours. Active participation is key so please only sign up if you will be available durring this time. I will try my best to post a list of players right after signups close.

How the game will be played:
- Before the game begins I will take a roll-call. If a player is not in attendance I’ll make the call for standby players to take their place.
- The twelve players will be randomly numbered off and I will post the list of twelve wrapped presents. The first player has their choice of presents from the pile, but they don’t get to unwrap it yet.
- Once a player has made their selection I will repost the list and successive players will have their choice of presents from the pile or they can steal a present from another player!
- If a present is stolen from you, you can either steal from a different player (no steal-backs) or chose another present from the pile.
- A warning though, the wrapping paper is delicate and may tear apart during theft! If this happens the thief receives the contents of the present, it cannot be stolen from them.
- The game ends when all the presents from the pile have been selected. All the presents will open to reveal their contents!

Gold with a Red Bow This metallic gold paper catches and reflects the light.
Magenta with a Lime Bow The eye smarting colors of this package hum with energy.
Chocolate with a Blue Bow The rich brown paper is set off nicely by a silken blue bow.
Crimson with a Cream Bow This package has a certain dignified charm to it.
Orange with a Charcoal Bow This sullen package sits near the edge of the pile, half buried in the snow.
Silver with a Pink Bow This package looks as though it was wrapped hastily, and there is an overabundance of tape.
Purple with a White Bow The long stands of ribbon blow in the breeze. 
Sky-blue with a Green Bow This package is smaller than most.
Slate gray with an Orange Bow One corner of this box is dented in, but the paper is still intact.
Lemon Yellow with a Lavender Bow Whoever wrapped this package used cheerful stickers in place of adhesive tape. 
Aqua with a Purple Bow The plush velvety ribbon on this box curls enticingly. 
Teal with a Gold Bow With elegant and crisp lines, the extravagant bow has a playful look to it
