Carnevale is Coming!

Just thought I would find out what you all enjoy about Carnevale, Italy?! I have never been to it but I see the pictures and I absolutely LOVE IT!Its like victorian Mardi Gras. :3 <33333

The feathers and masks are my favorite part!

While I have been to Venice, and I did purchase traditional venetian Carnevale masks while there, I was unfortunately not there at the right time of year to actually attend Carnevale. :/

The mask shops in Venice, even when it's nowhere near Carnevale season, are absolutely spectacular. We brought back two traditional Joker masks;

And I bought a plague mask for myself, and we brought back some smaller colombina masks for assorted family and friends.

I'd love to be able to go back one day specifically for Carnevale, and just because Venice was a magical place to be. :3

I have never heard of it before. The masks and costumes are amazing and elaborate.
Looking up pictures, I have found some beautiful masks.... and some not so beautiful pictures of parade floats hahaha XD


The masks remind me of a Doctor Who episode. now I must go watch it. heehee

xD Cosmic!!! That is so awesome but such a bummer at the same time! I have never been to visit or for Carnivale and it is one HUGE thing I want to do before I die. :3 The style is just so amazing to me.

I would love to get masks like those. xD So neat! Would you have dressed up????!!!! I wonder how much those costumes cost in general.. .got to be one pretty penny.

This probably isn't the right place to do this, but since her colors were chosen based on this Carnevale costume, I just couldn't resist showing her off here!



I just love her pattern and traits so much! And if Strive and all of these pictures don't make you want to see a whole Carnevale themed Song, then I don't know what will. Thanks again Rikku!

I adore her as well! Personally my fav part of her is her head. She has no mane but yet has such a flurry of color and stuff up there with the wings, you dont even notice. And her ears. :3 I love them. -flails- She is one of my favs that is for sure. <3 The name is very fitting as well. <3333 I'm so glad you like her!!!!
