I wanted to do a Sam to get used to coloring with pencil crayons again, so here he is!
I know it's not technically the end of summer yet, but here today it's rainy and windy and so chilly the furnace is on XD To enter the draw, just post a memory of something fun or exciting or interesting that you did this summer! The draw will be open until
September 15, 1pm PDT - good luck!

Let's see here... It hasn't been a particularly eventful summer, but we did go into town to go see Spiderman and eat dinner somewhere special, and that was a lot of fun! :3

I went up to Kentucky for Breyerfest, and spent three days at the Kentucky Horse Park, watching horse stuff and running around with other model horse collectors XD

Just this weekend, walking past a park only to discover they were having a "harvest festival" with booths and games and other things for the kids to do and feeling all nostalgic about not being a kid anymore and being able to go to these kinds of things

Hmm... Something fun that happened to me this summer?
Well this summer has actually been not so great for me but I do have one thing.
We have a ton of chickens. I was gathering eggs everyday. Our bantam hens decided that they didn't like that so they stopped laying. Or so I thought. They actually had been hiding their eggs from me. I went out one day to two fluffy baby chicks. One in one nest and one in another. They also had some eggs left in the nests.
We ended up with seven home hatched bantam chicks.
They are half silkie. Their moms are a birchen cochin, frizzled cochins and silkies. I don't know for sure because the one nest was being used by four different hens at once.
We have named most of them XD. We have Hector, Pipsqueak, Munchkin, Midget, Zipper and Puffin. My dad claimed on and hasn't decided on a name yet.
I can post a picture if anyone is interested.

We went to a huge flea market - hundreds of vendors selling quite possibly everything in the world. Even though I didn't end up buy too much, it was a ton of fun walking around and seeing all the treasures!

Let's see...
I got married!
I think that's my favorite thing for the summer - everything went perfectly. My dysfunctional family didn't show up and ruin everything, the cake was adorable!

We've been going to Dodgers games a lot this summer, which is always fun, but one game in particular was memorable. And not because it was an exciting game, all the fun and excitement happened before the game even started. They were selling Mystery Bags of balls signed by current and retired players for charity. My brother was
desperately really hoping to get a Kershaw ball but didn't think he would get one. So, we buy our bags he opens his first and he got Kershaw! Everyone around us were congratulating him and we were all freaking out. He was still shocked and shaking about it a good 20 minutes later. It was the best, I was so happy for him.
Elven - I wanna see the chicks!
Harroway - Congrats! And that topper is so adorable!

It took me a while to think of anything fun since summer is my craziest time of year at work, but Rasa and I celebrated Christmas in July just like we do every year. So, I got to watch all my favorite holiday films over and over! XD

I got my first job in six years, so that's probably been the most interesting and exciting thing for me over the summer.

What a lovely, colorful Sam!
My summer wasn't particularly exciting necessarily. It was fun though! I spent most days swimming in the pool with my 3 little boys.
I do have an exciting October coming. Oct 11 is my 10 years wedding anniversary!

Whoo, thanks for sharing, everyone
And congrats on those weddings and anniversaries and moves and new jobs!
My favorite part of summer was our usual trip to Vancouver, although we ended up going during the time when it was smokey and super hot. The kids and I stayed a few days after Mr Sushi drove back home for work, and on the day we flew black our flight was cancelled on our way to the airport and we ended up being rebooked on the 11:30pm flight, so that was super fun XD;;
Random has spoken, and congrats to
LvSoulFriend!
And thanks again to everyone for entering! It is so nice to see everyone around here again <3
