OKay, so here's my first attempt at a monthly schedule XD Hopefully I'll be able to stick to it!

There's not going to be a beginning of the month random draw for August since I'm going to be having birthday events close to the beginning of the month Paid customs will be open at various times throughout the month, if I have time for them.

August Schedule

5th - Birthday events start!
Happy birthday to me, and happy 10th birthday to Samanayrs If you have any event suggestions, please let me know!

15th - Expedition
It's going to be a random expedition, like the first one. Thank you to Jennalyn for offering to run it!

25th - Accessory and pet shops open
This will be the grand opening of the new accessory and pet shops Both accessories and pets will be available!

There's a lot of room in there for coloring, updating, and random events, as required What do you think of the first schedule?

Fun times! You could hold a story telling event during the birthday festivities. Or...it's almost time for Sam 300! You could do something for the 300th Sam. Maybe something like what Perf did in the spring with the sprout event; lots of quick mini-games to earn points with the winners getting a simple custom/semi-custom/modiems?

Ooh! A few pixel Sam slots would be fun too!

I'm looking forwards to the expedition and shops too! Looks like August is going to be a fun month!

Sounds like fun!! It gives everyone something to look forward to and some flexibility if you want to throw things in!

I'm going to second Origami_Dragon's suggestion of something similar to the sprout thing. I know I had fun with that!

Mini games galore, I say. I know those of us with Sams would love a chance to get more items and modiems, too, so you should indulge us! XD If you need people to help with mini games and such, I'd be willing to run a few. ^^

The sprout thing was a lot of work, but it was also a lot of fun.. XD I'm thinking of doing more long-running events with maybe a live game or two.

Thanks for the offers of help with the birthday event Today or tomorrow I'm going to try to figure out exactly what will be happening (and how many Sams I'll need to draw XD)!

Maybe something like the sprouts game would be better put off then. Maybe for Halloween? *imagines little Sams running around searching for candies*

Story telling is definatly a long running event. Or maybe pick-a-door, scavenger hunt, raffles, trivia... I'm sure a round or two of FrankenSam would draw interest too if you did decide to do a few live games. Maybe even one round on PI and one on the forums. I don't think the forum only folks have ever gotten to play FrankenSam.

Frankensam? Nope, we've never played it on the forum.

we have played it on the Ustream once, that was fun, as well as some sanity paced ones.

As for event suggestions, I always love a drawing contest, that make your own sushi without sushi ingredients contest from the glassgryphs birthday event was fun, and the sushi I made was tasty.
I agree with having events that will give out more items, less work for you drawing wise, but still rewarding. Of course, any event will be fun.

So many good event suggestions, I'm not going to throw any more in. I'll happily participate in whatever goes down.

As for the expedition, I would be happy to help run it if you'd like! I enjoy such things immensely. ^_^

That looks great, Sushi! I should actually be home for the birthday events, and I can't wait to see what you come up with. Those kinds of events are always so much fun. I should hopefully be able to participate in the expedition, it'll be my first.

Wheee, I got the draft for the birthday events worked out today, now I just need to figure out how many prizes I'm going to need (although I already know the answer is going to be 'a lot') XD I have events that will take place on both the forums and PI, a couple on Ustream, and even one for the website itself! There will also be little 'live' events that will take place separately on the Sam forum and PI forums, which my wonderful volunteers will be running

Just a slight change in schedule - the pet and accessory shops will now be open on August 25th instead of the 20th. Gives me more time to catch up from the birthday events XD
