It may be March now, but love is still all around, right? Of course!

Welcome to the love-pair events! All of the Samanayrs available to be won in these events are part of a pair Song, a mare and stallion so devoted that they will allow no others into their Song. These pairs also appear together in the same and cert!

In the interests of love and sharing, each half of the pair has to be owned by two different people. The owner of the stallion will also be responsible for setting up the Song.

Please also note that all of these events are being run on PI and the Samanayr forum at the same time, so please enter through PI or the forum, but not through both places. Thanks!

This pair looks like they were made for each other! A feathery duo, the stallion is a Sa'grisayr with feather tufts, while the mare is a regular Samanayr with a feather coat, talons, feathered wings, and a feathered tail - very close to being a Sa'grisayr herself!

As you can see, they also seem to be missing their colors. Oops! Why not try to come up with some nice colors for them? If your design is picked, you'll be the proud new owner of that member of the pair!

Rules

- You can submit a design for the mare or stallion, but not both. There is a limit of one entry per person.
- Your design can be written, drawn, or any combination thereof. Reference pictures are wonderful! You're also welcome to color directly on the lineart if you'd like.
- Although I do try to match colors as closely as possible, just remember that I am limited by my pencil crayon palette.
- You can provide a name for the Sam you're entering for, or leave it to me.

This cuddly Northern couple has a sense of humor, and they would love some silly romantic cards to send to each other! Why not come up with a goofy romantic illustration or a ridiculously sappy poem for them?

Winners will be drawn randomly from all entries received - the art winner will receive the stallion, and the poem winner will receive the mare. For this contest, artistic or written quality isn't a factor, so go wild with your silly, sappy illustrations! Additional prizes may also be awarded based on saptitude and romancification.

Illustration

Every card needs a cute illustration on the cover, right? It's up to you to provide one! Remember that artistic quality isn't a factor, so if Paint is all you have to work with, go for it!

Rules

- There is a limit of one illustration entry per person.
- The illustration must be related to both Samanayrs and romance.
- You're welcome to do your illustration in any medium. Please don't put too much effort into it, though - quality isn't what counts!
- You're welcome to edit your entry at any time before the end of the contest.

Poem

And what would a romantic card be without a romantic poem? Painful rhymes, purple prose, eternal similes and metaphors - bring it on!

The trivia challenge will start March 5, 6:15pm PST and will be open for 24 hours. The stallion of the pair will be awarded to the a randomly-selected entry received within the first hour of the contest with all answers correct, and the mare of the pair will be awarded to a randomly-selected entry with all answers correct once the 24 hours are up.

When the trivia challenge is open, I'll post the questions on the threads on PI and the Sam forum. You'll need to PM the answers to me!

- If you're stuck on an answer, please don't post asking for help. You're welcome to work with your friends privately (eg over IM), but please don't PM random people asking for help.

An unlikely couple? Maybe, since one of them lives on land and the other in the water.

So what's their story? That's up for you and a partner to determine! Your job is to come up with an origin story for the pair - how they met, how they fell in love - and you must collaborate with a partner! The winning team will get to decide between themselves who gets the Northern Aquatic mare and who gets the Northern stallion.

Rules

- You must work with a partner! If you don't have someone in mind, try posting to the thread to find someone.
- Please don't PM random people when you're trying to find someone to work with, as this could be considered spam.
- Each person can only be in one partnership.
- How the collaboration works is up to you. One of you comes up with the plot and the other writes the story? You work on the plot and story together? One person writes and the other person revises? Do whatever works for you!
- Please limit your wordcount to 1000 words.
- Stories will be judged based on originality and quality. If the judges can't decide on a winner, the winner may be selected randomly out of the finalists, or additional prizes may be rewarded.

Well, I won't be able to get the tribal stallion, Friday night is insane studying for my organic chem midterm on Saturday morning *dies* At least that's my last midterm though and I can still try for the mare after it's finished...
