This is an incomplete list of the different traits that a Samanayr can have. Some are species-specific, some are unique, and some are just really, really strange. There are several different trait categories, arranged alphabetically.

Also included on this page are features. They're not quite traits, but variations of normal Samanayr features, such as mane and tail hair styles. You're welcome to specify features when designing a custom.

Traits

Ears

	Upright Ears These ears face forward instead of lying back. Common		Rabbit Ears Very long, upright ears. Very rare

	Feather-tufted Ears Small feathers growing from the tips of the ears. Uncommon		Earless No ears at all. Rare
	Furred Ears Large ears with a long fur fringe around the outside. Very rare		Long Ears Ears that are much longer than usual. Rare
	Fin Ears Usually found on aquatics, these ears are finned. Rare		Bat Ears Large, sensitive ears that can swivel around to catch the quitest sounds. Very rare
	Rounded Ears Ears with rounded tips. Rare		Feline Ears Triangular cat ears. Very rare
	Rounded Canine Ears Thick canine ears with rounded tips. Very Rare		Kirin Ears Wide, flattened upright ears with a distinctive delicate point. Rare

Elemental

	Ignis One of more parts of the Samanayr that would usually be covered with fur, hair, or feathers is replaced with flame. Very rare		Glacies One or more parts of the Samanayr is replaced with ice. Very rare
	Florae One of more parts of the Samanayr that would usually be covered with fur or hair is replaced with some form of flora, such as branches, leaves, grass, or moss. Very rare		Inorganic A Samanayr made entirely of inorganic components, given life by magic. Very rare
	Lapideus One or more parts of the Samanayr is replaced with stone, metal, or minerals. Very rare		Conchae One or more parts of the Samanayr is replaced with shells. Very rare

Eyes

	Pure Black Eyes Rather than being colored, these eyes are pure black. Common		Slit-pupil Eyes Eyes with a narrow, slit-like pupil. Very rare
	Solid Eyes Eyes that are a solid color (other than black), with no pupils or whites. Rare		Horizontal Pupil A pupil that stretches horizontally across the eyes. Very Rare
	Multiple Eyes More than the standard pair of eyes. Very Rare		Demon-touched Eyes Glowing solid eyes with trailing luminescence. Very Rare

Feet

	Paws Padded paws in the place of cloven hooves. Uncommon		Spikes Curved, pointed spike-like hooves. Very difficult to walk on. Very rare
	Solid Hooves No cloven here! Just big ol' cloppers. Uncommon		Clawed Paws Usually with only one or two toes, these paws bear sharp claws. Rare
	Hooks Unlike the Spikes, these feet are intended for clinging to and swinging from branches. Rare		Fins Fins in the place of regular hooves. Samanayrs with this trait cannot walk on land. Rare
	Triple Hooves Triple hooves instead of the usual double hooves. Uncommon		Long Hooves Very long hooves. Rare
	Round Hooves Hooves that are spherical and cannot be walked on easily. Very rare		Tendril Fins A variety of fin made of long, thin tendrils. Very rare
	Flippers Wedge-like flippers. Although most useful in the water they can also hold a Samanayr up on land. Rare		Talons Smooth, sharp talons. Rare
	Tentacles Octopus-like tentacles grow in place of the legs. Very rare		Splayed Feet Large feet with splayed, hoof-tipped toes. Very rare
	Scythe Claws Rear feet with clawed paws and a single large scythe-shaped claw. Rare		Opposable Claws Claws that sit opposite each other. Very rare
	Large Hooves Hooves that are larger than usual. Uncommon		Sharp Hooves Hooves that are especially long and sharp. Rare
	Opposable Hooves Hooves that are split and separated in the front and back. Rare		Webbed Paws Dexterous webbed paws that also function well on land. Rare

Hair/Fur

	Equine Mane The typical horse-like mane. Does not need to be entered in the database. Common		Head Mane A mane that stops short of the neck. Common
	Leonine Mane (stallion) A lion-like mane that covers the entire neck. Uncommon		Leonine Mane (mare) The female equivilent of the leonine mane, it's limited to tufts of hair on the cheeks. Uncommon
	Extensive Foot Tufts These foot tufts are much longer than normal. Uncommon		Feather Crest A 'mane' made of feathers, rather than hair. Very rare
	Upright Hair This mane and tail seem to defy gravity and stand straight up. Rare		Hairless No fur or hair at all! Rare
	Mane Strand A single long strand of hair growing from the back of the head. Restricted to Shifters. Very rare		Armor A covering of armor, rather than fur and hair. Very rare
	Throat Mane A mane that grows down the line of the throat rather than down the back of the neck. Restricted to Healers. Very rare		Fluffy A very fluffy coat of fur. Uncommon
	Tuftless The absence of the fluffy foot tufts that all Samanayrs have. Uncommon		Longhair A very long, silky coat. Restricted to Kodylas. Very rare
	Mystic Strands A strand of long hair that grows from behind each ear. Restricted to Mystics and Mysteries. Uncommon		Crimped Mane A mane and tail with naturally crimped hair. Rare
	Chin Beard A little beard growing from the chin. Uncommon		Feather Mane A full mane of feathers, rather than hair. Rare
	Full Tufts Foot tufts that grow long enough in the front to cover the feet. Rare		Back Mane A mane that runs down the spine from head to tail. Restricted to Miseries and Mysteries. Rare
	Scaled Skin Smooth, scaly skin rather than fur, similar to snake skin. Very rare		Curly Hair Curly hair with body and bounce. Uncommon
	Feathered Tufts Foot tufts made of feathers rather than hair. Rare		Fin Mane Fins in the place of a mane. Very rare
	Ginglymus Tufts Small tufts of fur growing from behind the knees and ankles. Rare		Maneless No mane. Very rare
	Velveted Fur A coat that's simlar to the Northern fluff, but shorter and more dense. Rare		Feather Coat A coat of feathers rather than fur. Very rare
	Stellar Crown Long strands of hair, each tipped with a feather, growing from the head. Restricted to Sibyls. Very rare		Reduced Foot Tufts Foot tufts that are shorter than usual. Uncommon
	Belly Mane A mane that runs down the belly. Rare		Leather Skin Soft velvet-soft leathery skin. Unique

Horns

	Long Horns An absurdly long and twisted pair of horns. Rare		Double Horns A pair of horns. Usually pointing back, sometimes pointing forwards. Uncommon
	Ram Horns A pair of horns that twist around from behind the ears. Rare		Antlers ..antlers Uncommon
	Single Horn A single horn, usually pointing forwards, sometimes pointing backwards. Uncommon		Thick Horns A thick pair of horns which grow from behind the ears. Very rare
	Horn Nubs Two tiny horn nubs. Uncommon		Multiple Horns Three or more horns on the head overall. Can grow in various directions. Rare
	Unicorn Horn A single spiral horn growing from the forehead. Very rare		Kirin Horn A thick, split horn growing from the forehead. Very rare
	Bull Horns Large, thick curving horns, like a bull's. Very rare		Nose Horn A horn growing on the nose. Rare

Other

	Beak A beak in place of the usual mouth. Very rare		Multiple Legs More than the usual two pairs of legs. Very rare
	Bipedular Bipedular Samanayrs walk on their hind legs, rather than all fours. Very rare		Albino These Samanayrs have pure white hair and fur, and bright red eyes.
	Whiskers Thick whiskers that sprout from the snout. Very rare		Mini Though these Samanayrs appear to be the size of foals, they are fully grown, and just teeny tiny. Very rare
	Cheek Feathers Feathers growing from the backs of the cheeks. Rare		Furred Antennae A fluffy pair of antennae. Rare
	Scales Small scales that cover portions of the body. Very rare		Kirin Scales Scales that are rounded and separate from each other, like pebbles. Rare
	Poison Spurs Sharp spurs that carry a small amount of poison. Rare		Pudgy Sams with this trait are extra roly-poly with stubby legs and other features. Rare Designed by Pristine
	Belly Plate Thick overlapping scales that run down the throat and belly. Very Rare		Body Spines Sharp spines that grow from various points on the body. Rare
	Antennae A pair of antennae, sensitive to sound and movement. Very rare		Damaged Although not really a trait, Damaged Samanayrs are ones with psychological problems. Rare
	Perennial Growth A small tree growing out of the head. It grows over time and changes with the seasons. Very rare		Fancy Feathers One or more very extravagant feathers sprouting from various places on the body. Rare
	Hooked Snout A hard-edged snout with a pointed hook. Similar to a beak but can be scaled or furred. Very rare		Biped Samanayrs with this trait have only two legs. Can be front or rear legs. Very rare
	Tusks Long, curving teeth protruding from the mouth. Rare		Back Fin One or more fins growing from the back. Not related to Miseries. Rare
	Bioluminescence A natural glow coming from various parts of the Samanayr. Very rare		Fangs Long, pointed incisors. Uncommon
	Gems Gems that grow right through the Samanayr's skin. Very rare		Flexible Spines Spines that are more flexible than usual. Rare
	Bone Mask A bony mask covering the face and head. Rrare		Integrated Parts of the Samanayr have been replaced with an inorganic material. Very rare
	Animal Mimic A Samanayr with traits, markings, and colors that mimic an animal. Rare		Object Mimic A Samanayr with traits, markings, and colors that mimic an inanimate object. Very rare

	Curled Tail A canine tail that curls up over the back. Very rare		Draconic Tail A long, flexible hairless tail, sometimes tipped with a wedge. Rare
	Feline Tail A long furred tail, often lashed when the Sam is annoyed or angry. Rare		Combination Tail Two types of tail combined, such as tufted and feathered. Rare
	Tailless No tail at all! Very rare		Poison Tail A thin, flexible tail tipped with a poison spur. Usually carried curled over the back. Very rare
	Otter Tail A long, thick tail useful for swimming in the water. Rare		Bob Tail A very short, stubby tail. Uncommon
	Phoenix Tail A feathered tail with two trailing feathers. Very rare		Fan Tail A dragon-like tail with spines and membranes that can be fanned out to assist in flight. Rare
	Wolf Tail A wolf-like tail. Very rare		Tadpole Tail A tail resembling a tadpole's. Rare

Wings

	Combination Wings Wings that are a combination of more than one type (ie, draconic and faery). Rare		Double Wings Two pairs of wings. Rare
	Tines These wings are missing the usual draconic wing membrane, and cannot be used for flight. Rare		Leg Wings I think this is pretty self-explanatory, going by the image (not to mention creepy). Very rare
	Spike Wings These wings are membranes supported by spikes, and grow in as the Sam ages. Unique		Butterfly Wings Though delicate, these wings can somehow bear the Samanayr in flight. Rare
	Vestigial Wings Tiny wings, for decoration rather than flight. Rare		Head Wings A pair of decorative wings growing from the head. Very rare
	Giant Wings Wings that are much larger than usual. Very rare		Feathered Wings Your typical feathered wings. Common
	Faery Wings Your typical faery, dragonfly-inspired wings. Common		Draconic Wings Your typical bat-like draconic wings. Common
	Wyvern Fully functional wings integrated with the front legs. Rare Designed by Moonsfire		Fin Wings Usually found on Aquatics, these wings are membrane stretched over spines growing out from the sides. Rare
	Seraphim Three pairs of wings! Very rare Designed by Harroway		Abbreviated Wings Not quite complete vestigial wings, abbreviated wings are ornamental features in the place of where the wings would be. For example, a cluster of feathers rather than feathered wings. Very rare
	Posterior Wings Wings growing from the Samanayr's posterior. Very rare		Bone Wings Wings that have been partially removed, exposing the bone underneath. Any foals will inherit the original wing type. Very rare
	Flipper Wings Wings that are flippers. Rare		Ankle Wings Small wings growing from the ankles. Rare
	Tail Wings Wings that grow from the tail. Very rare		Spectral Wings Ghostly wings that aren't entirely there. Not capable of flight. Very rare
	Wrap-around Wings Wings where the flight surfaces wrap around the Samanayr's back and tail. Very rare
